Chen Leng (Chen Shubing)’s creation is based on his own aesthetic preferences and a need of exploring the outwards with spontaneity. Not limited by collective consciousness’ labeling, Chen’s work is supported by the phenomenon and essence of daily objects, constructed on the abstraction of intuitional expressions. His creation motive involves short-term thoughts and long-term accumulated experiences. His practice covers videos, sculptures, and installations.
