MadeIn Gallery is pleased to collaborate with Soul Art Center to present the group exhibition “Perpetual,” featuring works by 12 artists, including Chen Ying, Li Hanwei, Liu Wa, Lu Pingyuan, Shang Liang, Shao Fengtian, Song Ling, Wang Jianwei, Wang Xin, Wang Ziquan, Xu Zhen, and Yang Yang. The exhibition, titled “Perpetual,” calls for us to confront the long-termism of art, showcasing how it serves as a driving force and reflects artists’ dedication to art and their vitality.
The exhibited works range from contemplations on cross-epoch symbiosis in biology, to the speculative use of AI; from natural ecology to industrial and digital ecologies; from the embodied traces of cultural heritage to the psychological tremors of a specific moment—all distilled into expressions of the present. These creations engage with humanity’s collective state of existence and its verdict on rapid, disposable consumerism, affirming the rationality of conflict and using it as fuel for the perpetual motion of thought, which also sustains the artists.
